Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Detailed Review

Earlier today, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, along with the Fold 8 and the Flip 8. Now, aside from tacking ‘Ultra’ onto the name, the Z Fold 8 Ultra looks and feels a lot like last year’s Z Fold 7.

Samsung has made significant improvements over its last-generation foldables with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The new model features a 5000mAh battery, similar to the one in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but comes with a hefty price tag of $2099. Despite the high cost, the device boasts an impressive design and features.

The Z Fold 8 Ultra is Samsung's thinnest foldable yet, with a 0.1mm reduction compared to its predecessor. The addition of a titanium alloy film beneath the display enhances durability. The device maintains a similar display to the Fold 7 but offers a slightly higher resolution on the unfolded screen.

With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, the Fold 8 Ultra delivers excellent performance but tends to heat up quickly due to its thin design. Samsung has included a 5000mAh battery in this model, promising extended usage time. However, concerns remain about potential throttling issues during heavy workloads.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra presents notable improvements over its predecessor, particularly in battery life and camera capabilities. While the device comes at a premium price, its sleek design and enhanced features make it a compelling option for tech enthusiasts.
