Dungeons & Dragons Official Star Wars Expansion Revealed

Dungeons & Dragons is getting an official Star Wars expansion as part of its Universes Beyond label.

Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away will be the second Universes Beyond addition to D&D, following the previously-announced World of Warcraft expansion. D&D's big Gen Con 2026 reveal panel ended with the surprise announcement that a Star Wars tabletop expansion will arrive in 2027 as part of the company's Season of Rebellion. Details are scarce for now, but fans are excited, especially with Darth Vader making an appearance during the announcement.

D&D's Star Wars expansion comes after a busy year for Wizards of the Coast's tabletop brand, starting with the Season of Magic and the Arcana Unleashed expansion. The upcoming Season of Survival will bring back the adult Dark Sun setting, followed by the Season of Sword & Sorcery and a return to Greyhawk. Wizards of the Coast reassures fans that Universes Beyond additions are extra content and not a replacement for core expansions.
