Rick and Morty Season 9 Premiere Date and Release Schedule

Rick and Morty is returning for its ninth season this Sunday. IGN’s own Jesse Schedeen claims Season 9 has “real legs out of the gate, and several episodes easily rank among the series’ best.”

Like previous seasons, the new season of Rick and Morty will air on Adult Swim before becoming available to stream on HBO Max. The premiere of Season 9 is set for Sunday, May 24, at 11pm EST, with subsequent episodes releasing weekly at the same time, totaling 10 episodes. The confirmed episode titles and release dates have been revealed, with the season becoming available for streaming on HBO Max and Hulu in the U.S. on June 15.

Unlike past seasons, Rick and Morty will not be immediately available for online streaming after airing on Adult Swim. Fans will have to wait until June 15 to watch the new episodes on streaming platforms. The show was renewed for a massive 70 episodes in 2018, ensuring a total of 12 seasons, with 30 more episodes confirmed after Season 9.
