Xbox Unveils New 25th-Anniversary Edition Xbox Series X

Microsoft announced new 25th-anniversary edition Xbox Series X model--aptly dubbed the Xbox Series X25--and a matching Xbox Wireless Controller during the Xbox Games Showcase.

Pricing details are yet to be revealed, but the special design and current global economic conditions suggest a high price point. Both the console and controller feature a translucent 'OG Green' chassis with 'X25' logos. The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition boasts glossy, colored face buttons, while the bumpers pay homage to the classic Duke gamepad's colorful inputs with a white and black design.

The console offers 1TB of storage and lights up green with an 'X' symbol upon powering on, reminiscent of the original Xbox. Set to launch in November, the devices will be available in a bundle and separately. Preorder information will be disclosed at a later date. Microsoft teases more announcements for the 25th anniversary celebrations in 2026.
