Xbox's Compact Cloud Gaming Controller Revealed

The design of Xbox's upcoming cloud gaming controller has leaked online and it looks pretty different from your average Xbox controller.

New images of the controller show that it is much smaller than a typical Xbox controller, resembling a Joy-Con in size. It features all the expected buttons, with slight grooves on the triggers similar to a regular controller. The controller boasts rechargeable batteries, USB-C support, and Bluetooth connectivity, and will be available in black and white colors. Its release date remains unknown, but speculations suggest it may be unveiled soon, possibly during Xbox's summer showcase.

Xbox's cloud gaming service, with features like 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, a 500mAh rechargeable battery, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, bumpers, triggers, D-Pad, and a pairing button, aims to expand beyond consoles to smart TVs, mobile devices, and non-gaming computers. The platform allows seamless game streaming to various devices, making it a convenient option for players lacking storage space or time for downloads. The company's investment in cloud gaming, evident from a surge in cloud gaming hours, reflects a growing trend towards this gaming style. The compact controller release further underscores Xbox's commitment to this direction.
