The upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7 will not feature announcements about the Project Helix console.
The Xbox Games Showcase scheduled for June 7 will not include any updates on the Project Helix console. Xbox's chief content officer, Matt Booty, clarified on the Xbox Podcast that the event will primarily highlight games, steering clear of broader strategic discussions under the new leadership of Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. Booty emphasized the showcase's exclusive focus on games, stating that strategic matters will be addressed separately. He confirmed that details about Helix will be revealed at a later date to ensure accurate information dissemination.
Booty also mentioned that Microsoft will reserve discussions on broader strategic topics and the Helix console for future engagements. The Xbox Games Showcase will be followed by an Xbox Direct event concentrating on Gears of War: E-Day. Notable among the showcased games is the delayed Fable reboot, now set for a release in February 2027. Microsoft aims to unveil exciting updates for Fable during the showcase, highlighting the title's development progress. Additionally, Microsoft plans to launch Halo: Campaign Evolved in 2026, marking the series' debut on PlayStation platforms.
