This includes ending the 'This is an Xbox' campaign, introducing new console features, and altering the official branding to 'XBOX.' Despite these efforts, Microsoft confirmed that the 2026 Xbox Showcase will feature logos of competing platforms, following the delay of Fable to early 2027.
During an appearance on the Official Xbox Podcast, Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty stated that Microsoft will be transparent about the platforms its games will be available on. This means that PlayStation logos may appear in trailers for Xbox games. However, Sony does not reciprocate this gesture in its showcases, keeping Xbox logos out of its game trailers.
Sharma has not hinted at a return to exclusive games, but Microsoft is open to reevaluating its approach to exclusivity. This has sparked discussions among Xbox fans, with some feeling that the lack of exclusives devalues the Xbox consoles compared to Sony's more exclusive-focused strategy.
