World War 3 Servers Closure Announced

The free-to-play military FPS World War 3 is going offline.

Developer New Generation Games has announced the closure of the World War 3 servers. The multiplayer servers will be shut down on August 3, 2026, marking the end of support for the game. The decision was made after a decline in player numbers, with only 49 concurrent players recently compared to a peak of 11,792 in September 2022. Despite the game's initial release in 2018 and its tactical shooter gameplay set in cities like Warsaw and Berlin, the studio has decided to discontinue the game.

New Generation Games expressed gratitude to the community for their support over the years and acknowledged the player contributions that kept the game alive. The closure of World War 3 adds to the list of live-service games that have ceased operations, including Concord, Highguard, and soon Hawked.
