Duke shared that the line 'You bald-headed demon' was a spur-of-the-moment addition that he felt suited his character's Nigerian Igbo cultural background. The actor expressed his love for playing M'Baku and the freedom it gave him to add his personal touch to the character.
During Marvel's Hall H Panel at San Diego Comic Con 2026, Duke discussed the improvisation with host Jeffrey Vega, emphasizing the supportive environment that allowed him to take creative risks.
