Warhorse Studios confirms its next Kingdom Come game will be an 'open-world RPG,' set to launch next fiscal year.
Warhorse Studios has clarified that the upcoming Kingdom Come game will indeed be an 'open-world RPG,' as communicated by Communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling and community manager Tom Grey during a recent livestream. The announcement followed speculations about the direction of the medieval series after plans for a 'new Kingdom Come adventure' were revealed.
Stolz-Zwilling debunked rumors of new movies or significant gameplay changes, affirming that the untitled Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 follow-up is a continuation of the open-world RPG genre. While details about a potential Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 were not disclosed, Grey hinted at it being one of the two 'proper games' in progress.
Warhorse Studios is expanding the Kingdom Come universe, emphasizing the project's status as a passion endeavor. Additionally, the studio is working on another open-world RPG set in The Lord of the Rings' Middle-earth. The new Kingdom Come adventure is anticipated to launch in the upcoming fiscal year, with a tentative release window between April 2027 and March 2028.
