Tides of Annihilation developer Eclipse Glow Games has revealed that voice actor Jennifer English will no longer voice the protagonist, Gwendolyn, citing personal health reasons. English stepped down from the role in June but will remain involved in an advisory capacity. Eclipse Glow Games has yet to disclose her replacement. The studio expressed gratitude for English's contribution and professionalism, acknowledging her impact on the character and the project. English, known for her award-winning role as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has recommended a new voice actor to take over the role. The new voice of Gwendolyn is currently recording lines, with a hands-on demo of Tides of Annihilation scheduled at Gamescom 2026 next month.
Tides of Annihilation is set in a post-apocalyptic London, following Gwendolyn's journey to find the Holy Grail, rescue her sister, and confront the dark forces of Avalon. Players will witness Gwendolyn's ability to summon the Knights of the Round Table for assistance in battle. The game is slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, although no specific launch date has been announced. English's notable roles also include Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3 and Latenna in Elden Ring.
