It appears that a big reveal of gameplay features and visuals tied to the new Virtua Fighter game is imminent.
Recently, a portion of an online presentation related to the new Virtua Fighter title was leaked on the Chinese video-sharing platform Bilibili. The leaked footage showcases four characters exhibiting both new and classic fighting techniques, offering a sneak peek at the game's visually stunning presentation, reminiscent of recent titles like Street Fighter 6. Despite the modern visuals, the core fighting mechanics stay true to Virtua Fighter's roots of realistic martial arts, displaying intense strikes, kicks, and grappling moves. Among the characters featured in the leak are Wolf and Stella, alongside two new faces: a male character employing a blend of Southeast Asian martial arts, tentatively named "Cielo," and what seems to be an older iteration of the beloved Virtua Fighter character Pai Chan. The leaked footage also reveals the title as "Virtua Fighter Crossroads." Producer Riichiro Yamada and another member of the RGG studio briefly discuss the game in the leaked video, as translated by Gematsu, lending credibility to the leak. Fans can anticipate a more extensive look at the game during upcoming events like June's State of Play presentation, Summer Games Fest, or EVO 2026. While the leak may be disappointing, it provides an exciting preview of the forthcoming comprehensive showcase, expected to delve into game modes, controls, and the game's narrative.
