Valve Opens Reservation Queue for Steam Controller

Valve is opening a reservation queue for the Steam Controller following overwhelming initial demand.

Valve is responding to the high demand for the Steam Controller by introducing a reservation queue after the initial stock sold out quickly. The reservation system, starting on May 8 at 10am PT, will operate similarly to the one used for the Steam Deck launch. Customers will receive order emails as controllers become available.

Valve has set some guidelines for the reservations, including limiting purchases to one controller per user and requiring orders to be completed within 72 hours of receiving the email. Fulfillment will begin in the US and Canada next week, followed by the UK, EU, and Australia in the subsequent weeks. However, Valve has not specified how long it will take to process all reservations or when controllers will be in stock without needing a reservation.
