The official Assassin's Creed account on X replied to the leaker who goes by j0nathan, stating that the image was heavily altered and likely created with AI. Ubisoft confirmed that Codename Invictus will be officially revealed in due time. The project, focusing on PvP multiplayer, is being developed by For Honor veterans at Ubisoft Montreal. J0nathan had previously mentioned that Invictus drew inspiration from Fall Guys and supported up to 16 players.
Ubisoft's response to the leak emphasized the importance of not spreading misinformation and assured fans that more details about Invictus will be shared at the appropriate moment. In related news, Ubisoft Annecy reportedly canceled another multiplayer Assassin's Creed game named League, which initially began as DLC for Assassin's Creed Shadows before evolving into a standalone project.
