The video game industry is running scared of GTA 6. But there are two video games that are throwing caution to the wind and braving the behemoth that is Rockstar’s next epic.
Atari is taking on GTA 6 with two games set to release in November. First, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered will launch on November 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, priced at $29.99. Meanwhile, Barbie Rewind by Digital Eclipse is scheduled for November 12, offering players a mix of a Barbie DreamHouse design game and 16 classic Barbie games from the Y2K era.
In Godzilla, players can enjoy a creative world inspired by Barbie's DreamHouse, customizing rooms with furniture and accessories from Barbie playsets over the years. Barbie Rewind, on the other hand, combines modern gameplay with classic Barbie games, challenging players to unlock items by playing games from the 1990s and 2000s.
With Godzilla and Barbie launching in November before GTA 6's release on November 19, the industry is abuzz with speculation on how these titles will impact Rockstar's highly anticipated game. Could the combined force of Godzilla and Barbie pose a threat to GTA 6's success? Only time will tell.
