Toy Story 5 Breaks Box Office Records While Disclosure Day Struggles

Toy Story 5 had an enormous start at the global box office, setting a franchise record. Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, however, is having a tough time.

The latest installment in the Toy Story franchise, Toy Story 5, made an impressive $160 million domestically and $152 million internationally, totaling $312 million globally. With projections indicating a potential billion-dollar run, the film is poised to be a massive success for Disney. In contrast, Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day faced challenges, experiencing a 62% drop in its second weekend at the domestic box office.

While Disclosure Day has grossed $160.4 million globally, it struggles to attract the Gen Z audience, impacting its box office performance. In comparison, movies like Obsession and Backrooms have achieved remarkable global earnings despite their lower production costs.

IGN's reviews for both Toy Story 5 and Disclosure Day returned a 7/10 rating, highlighting the unique strengths and challenges of each film.
