The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past Expansion Revealed

With Gamescom Opening Night Live just a little over a month away, the first big reveal for the showcase has been confirmed: The Witcher 3.

CD Projekt Red announced that a third expansion for The Witcher 3 is in the works, with a first look at The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past set for Geoff Keighley's annual Gamescom kick-off show on August 23. The expansion, developed in collaboration with Fool's Theory, will see Geralt of Rivia embark on a new quest. It is scheduled to release in 2027 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, but without support for Windows 10.

Amidst this, Fool's Theory is also remaking the first game in The Witcher series, while CD Projekt Red is heavily focused on developing The Witcher 4, with more than half of the studio dedicated to the project.
