Terraria holds the seventh spot with 70 million lifetime sales, while iconic titles like Tetris and Grand Theft Auto V still dominate the top positions.
CD Projekt Red announced that the game's success has led to the development of a new expansion titled Songs of the Past, set to release in 2027. This expansion, created in collaboration with Fool's Theory, will further explore Geralt's story, setting the stage for the upcoming game, The Witcher 4, where Ciri will take the lead. The Witcher 3's enduring popularity can be attributed to its availability on various platforms, frequent discounts, and the impact of The Witcher series on Netflix.
Additionally, CD Projekt shared insights into its current projects and team sizes. While teams for The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 have grown, Project Hadar saw a slight reduction in team members. The company also revealed that a remake of the first Witcher game is in the works, and a preview of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' second season will be unveiled at Anime Expo 2026 on July 3.
