The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt Red has announced the new Songs of the Past expansion for the game, which comes 11 years after its second expansion, Blood and Wine.
The upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3, Songs of the Past, has been revealed by CD Projekt Red. Co-developed with Fool's Theory, the expansion is set to launch in 2027 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Rumors initially suggested a Zerrikania setting, but new reports indicate it will focus on Temeria and Redania. CDPR also announced updated system requirements, including the need for Windows 11.
Additionally, CD Projekt Red hinted at a surprise reveal related to The Witcher franchise. The studio is currently busy with new content for The Witcher 3, a remake of the first game, and the development of The Witcher 4. Beyond The Witcher series, CDPR is also involved in a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series.
