Director Christoper Nolan's film, The Odyssey, continues to impress at the box office, bringing in $215.3 million globally during its second weekend, with a modest 19% decrease. The movie, led by Matt Damon, collected $128.3 million internationally and $87 million domestically, accumulating a total of $639.6 million. Despite a slight decline, the film maintains its strong momentum since its premiere on July 17, 2026.

IGN noted the film's exceptional $264.1 million opening weekend, surpassing expectations. The movie has retained audience interest, including in 70mm Imax theaters, with a current split of $353.26 internationally and $286.37 domestically. The Odyssey is on track to reach the coveted $1 billion mark, solidifying its position as a critical and commercial success.

Other films in the global box office standings include Toy Story 5 crossing the billion-dollar mark after six weekends, Kung Fu Soccer ranking fourth, and Minions & Monsters maintaining a top-five position. Disney's Moana, however, lags behind with a total of $228.16 million. As The Odyssey continues its successful run, it faces upcoming competition from Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
