Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, continuing the movie series with Red facing new challenges as a dad and world savior. Scheduled for release on December 23, the film stars Jason Sudeikis alongside a star-studded cast that includes Josh Gad, Danny McBride, and more. Notable scenes in the trailer include a baby bird continuously peeing through a colander, drawing comparisons to the Bellagio fountain.
The Angry Birds franchise has been running for a decade, with the original movie grossing $352 million globally and the sequel making $148 million. Sega acquired Rovio for $776 million in 2023 but has yet to see the expected results. Paramount, the studio behind the movie, is also working on the Call of Duty and Sonic the Hedgehog films and is set to acquire more franchises through the Warner Bros. Discovery buyout.
