Terraria developer Re-Logic has confirmed that updates will continue 'beyond' the 1.4.6 update and the upcoming crossplay patch, and will share 'other plans and ideas [...] when the time is right.'

Terraria developer Re-Logic commemorated its 15th anniversary by reflecting on the game's massive success, with 70 million copies sold. The breakdown includes 39.6 million on PC, 10.7 million on console, and 19.7 million on mobile, resulting in a daily player count averaging half a million and peaking at 1.4 million.

In celebration, Terraria is releasing a 15th-anniversary collector's edition and a book called Terraria Design Works, created in partnership with Lost in Cult. The studio expressed gratitude to its diverse player base, acknowledging the game's evolution alongside its community.

Despite previous claims of final updates, Terraria continues to expand, with 1.4.6 already confirmed and more updates in the pipeline. The game's enduring popularity was highlighted by the recent 1.4.5 update, which saw a significant surge in player numbers, reaching almost 165,000 on release day.

IGN's review of Terraria from 15 years ago praised the game's unique take on sandbox gameplay, emphasizing combat and adventure elements. The title received a high score of 9/10, acknowledging its lasting appeal and innovation.
