Teenage Boy Injured by Lightning Strike While Playing Video Games

A teenage boy sustained injuries after lightning struck his home as he was playing video games, hitting him with an electrical shock.

The 13-year-old boy, Vladyslav Skuridin, described feeling a shock and seeing a bright white light while playing a computer game when lightning struck his house in Cypress, Texas on July 7. The incident caused a small fire in the attic and left him feeling dizzy and confused, although he did not require hospitalization. Local authorities advised precautions during thunderstorms to avoid similar accidents.
