Despite some setbacks, including a public dispute between Unknown Worlds and Krafton, the game is launching in early access this week.
Players can preorder and preload Subnautica 2 on Steam and Xbox Series X and S, with pre-purchase options on the Epic Games Store. The game will also join Game Pass as a featured title in May, although there is no confirmation yet for PS5 or Nintendo Switch versions.
In celebration of reaching 5 million wishlists on Steam, all players will receive a Reaper Leviathan Statue blueprint as a token of appreciation. The global early access release times for Subnautica 2 vary depending on the region, with the game scheduled to go live on May 14th and 15th at specific times worldwide.
