Unknown Worlds is launching the 1.1 update for Subnautica 2, titled Adaptive Measures, which focuses on expanding the biomods system. This update introduces new biolabs early in the game, allowing players to discover and switch out more biomods from the beginning. As players progress, they can scan creatures to unlock additional passive biomod slots, enabling the use of multiple passive biomods simultaneously.
The update also includes enhancements to creature flinches, with most creatures now displaying reactions when hit with the Survival Multitool. Additionally, improvements have been made to the Sonic Resonator, indicating creatures' stunned states more clearly. These changes aim to provide players with better feedback on their interactions with the game's creatures.
Furthermore, the 1.1 update addresses player feedback by improving blight encounters for a smoother transition from passive to aggressive states. It also enhances gameplay around wrecks, offering more puzzle-solving elements and visual cohesion. Other additions include clarity improvements to the PDA and a new personal storage option in players' bases, separate from fabricators and processors.
