Star Wars Jedi Veteran's Dungeons & Dragons Game Canceled

In June 2025, Wizards of the Coast announced a partnership with Giant Skull--the studio founded by Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and God of War III director Stig Asmussen--for a "single-player action-adventure title set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons." Unfortunately, that project has now been canceled just shy of the one-year anniversary of that announcement.

Wizards of the Coast and Giant Skull had planned to collaborate on a single-player action-adventure game within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. However, the project has been officially scrapped, as confirmed by both Hasbro, the parent company of Wizards of the Coast, and Giant Skull. Wizards of the Coast expressed their continued respect for Stig Asmussen and his team despite the cancellation, mentioning that they are open to exploring new project ideas with Giant Skull.

According to a statement from Wizards of the Coast, the decision to cancel the Dungeons & Dragons game was part of their regular evaluation process of game concepts at various stages of development. While the specific reasons for discontinuing the project were not disclosed, Wizards of the Coast remains interested in potential future collaborations with Giant Skull.
