Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home 40th Anniversary Re-Release Confirmed for

Admiral Kirk and Spock are Earth-bound once more, as Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home is set to return to theaters for its 40th anniversary.

Artist Matt Ferguson designed a poster to mark the occasion, shared by Empire. The re-release featuring William Shatner (Kirk) and Leonard Nimoy (Spock) will kick off on September 4, 2026, with tickets already available for the '80s classic.

The 40th-anniversary celebration of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home will be exclusive to UK cinemas initially. There's no official word yet on whether it will expand to other theaters.

Star Trek 4, directed by Nimoy in 1986, coincides with the franchise's 60th anniversary, with special events planned throughout the year leading up to Star Trek Day on September 8.

Matt Ferguson, known for his Star Trek art, also created posters for the anniversaries of Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock. As the Star Trek universe turns 60, Ferguson continues to pay tribute.
