Ukraine developer GSC Game World revealed that Stalker 2: Cost of Hope will launch on August 20, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5. The expansion delves into the conflict between Zone factions Duty and Freedom, adding a new layer of tension to the game. Players will embody protagonist Skif once more, following a mysterious PDA signal that intertwines with the main storyline, promising hours of new content.
Moreover, the 2.0 update will elevate the game to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, introducing fresh content and enhancements. While details are scarce for now, GSC Game World assured fans that more information will be shared soon. Stalker 2 initially faced delays but found success upon release, reaching 1 million copies sold within two days and amassing over 6 million players to date.
