Spider-Man Movie Draws Inspiration from Recent Spider-Man Games
The new Spider-Man movie sees its star, Tom Holland, once again do whatever a spider can, which apparently includes using finishing moves from the recent Spider-Man games.
In a recent interview, Tom Holland and film director Destin Daniel Cretton revealed how the Spider-Man games from Insomniac influenced the latest Spider-Man movie. Holland mentioned that a lot of the action and finishing moves in the games inspired him, with many of these moves finding their way into the film's fight scenes. The stunt performers in the movie, who were also avid gamers, even brought screenshots of Spidey's finishers to the writers' room to recreate them in real life.
In the games, Spider-Man can defeat enemies instantly with finishing moves once he accumulates enough energy, using his webs and powers to take down foes quickly.
