Spider-Man: Brand New Day Leak on Social Media Before Sony Takedown

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly suffered a significant leak that saw a high-quality bootleg spread across X/Twitter before Sony took it down.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day faced a leak on social media, with a bootleg version circulating on X/Twitter before Sony intervened. The leak, which allowed users to view the film and uncover surprises before its removal, reached 5.9 million X accounts, garnering over 143,000 likes and 10,000 reshares. Despite Sony's actions, traces of the leak can still be found online.

Segments revealing key plot points of the movie were shared on X, with some users claiming to have seen parts of the film before it was disabled due to copyright concerns. Marvel Studios, following a similar incident with Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey,' is facing challenges with leaks. While Sony has not commented on the leak, Universal emphasized its commitment to protecting intellectual property rights by swiftly addressing unauthorized postings.

As the situation unfolds, it remains uncertain if Sony will take further steps regarding the leak. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' premiered in theaters on July 31, 2026. IGN's review of the film rated it 7/10, noting its box office success with an impressive $72 million in previews. Sony continues efforts to prevent leaks, especially related to post-credits scenes.
