Spider-Man: Brand New Day almost featured the return of recurring Marvel character Clare Temple, actress Rosario Dawson has revealed.
Rosario Dawson shared at GalaxyCon that she filmed a scene as Clare Temple after six years, but it was later cut from the movie. Dawson portrayed the nurse Clare Temple in Marvel TV shows on Netflix, appearing in Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Defenders. Although Temple was romantically involved with Luke Cage, her fate remains unknown due to her absence in Brand New Day.
Dawson mentioned during a panel discussion that she shot a scene for the new Spider-Man film, hinting at a potential return of Clare Temple. However, the scene featuring her character was ultimately removed. Fans speculated about Dawson's return after reports suggested she would help a wounded hero in the movie, but her appearance remains uncertain.
Despite Clare Temple's absence, Marvel continues to introduce characters in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film, set to release on July 31, will not include Dawson's character, leaving fans to wonder about Temple's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
