Sony's recent financial report indicated that the company is still undecided on the pricing and release date of the PlayStation 6. Despite not officially unveiling the console, Sony mentioned an increased investment in its next-generation platform. The global component shortage crisis has further complicated matters, with Sony's president and CEO, Hiroki Totoki, highlighting the impact of rising costs for essential components like RAM on the PS6 plans. Totoki stated during a call that due to the high memory prices expected in the Financial Year 2027, Sony is carefully evaluating the situation before making any decisions.
