A recent analysis of a new PlayStation business document has revealed a significant shift in Sony's approach to multiplatform releases. The document, filed with the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission, no longer includes PC as a focus for the company's first-party game launches.
According to reports, PlayStation is now moving towards making its single-player narrative games fully exclusive to PlayStation consoles. This change means that highly anticipated titles like Marvel's Wolverine, God of War Laufey, and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will not receive PC ports.
While live-service games will still be launched on PC, such as Guerrilla Games' Horizon Hunters Gathering, Sony's updated business strategy clearly indicates a shift towards exclusivity for its single-player titles.
