SNK's New NEOGEO AES+ Console Available for Preorder Ahead of November

SNK's New NEOGEO AES+ Console is a 1:1 replica of the classic console released in 1990, with HDMI output and re-engineered ASIC chips for playing old and new NEOGEO games. Preorders are live now for $249.99.

The NEOGEO AES+ is a faithful recreation of the original console, complete with a chonky arcade-style controller. It supports HDMI output and features AV output connectors for compatibility with CRT TVs. Unlike typical retro gaming devices, it runs games using re-engineered ASIC chips instead of emulation.

For an additional $100, buyers can opt for the 35th Anniversary Edition in white, which includes exclusive accessories like a white Metal Slug cartridge, a wireless white controller, and a white memory card. SNK is also releasing classic games like Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown V Special for the console at $89.99 each.

Accessories such as extra controllers and memory cards are available for purchase, all designed as 1:1 replicas of the original hardware. The memory card allows players to store game data and progress across compatible titles.
