Seth Green’s long-shelved animated Star Wars sitcom Star Wars: Detours will finally find itself in front of the public, albeit as an exhibit at George Lucas’ soon-to-open Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, California.
Seth Green’s long-shelved animated Star Wars sitcom Star Wars: Detours will finally find itself in front of the public, albeit as an exhibit at George Lucas’ soon-to-open Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, California.
Seth Green announced during a panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 that Star Wars: Detours will be displayed at the Lucas Museum. The animated series, aiming to be a Star Wars version of The Simpsons, was originally revealed in 2012 but got shelved after Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm. Green mentioned that 39 episodes were completed before the show was put on hold.
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, opening on September 22, will feature curated film selections in two theaters for visitors to enjoy throughout the day. This marks the first time the public will get a glimpse of the long-lost Star Wars: Detours series.
