Sephiroth is up to his old tricks in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, but one thing that has changed about the enduring villain is his voice.
Sephiroth, the iconic villain in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, will have a new voice actor in the upcoming game. Tyler Hoechlin, who previously voiced the character, will be replaced by anime veteran Travis Willingham due to a scheduling conflict. Willingham, known for his work in anime series and video games, including Marvel Rivals, brings a fresh take to the role.
In addition to his extensive voice acting career, Willingham is recognized for his involvement in Critical Role, a popular Dungeons & Dragons web series. The announcement of the voice actor change coincided with Square Enix confirming that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will not be a PlayStation exclusive upon its release in 2027, as it will also be available on PC, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S simultaneously.
