Sega Unveils New Crazy Taxi Game with Classic Offspring Song

As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Sega officially unveiled Crazy Taxi: World Tour, a reboot of the classic arcade game.

Sega has revealed Crazy Taxi: World Tour during the Xbox Games Showcase event. This reboot of the classic arcade game is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The teaser trailer gives a nod to the original game, featuring familiar elements like the Golden Gate Bridge and Axel, one of the original drivers.

The new Crazy Taxi game will also introduce online multiplayer elements within an open-world setting. While not fully showcased in the teaser, the trailer hints at a modern twist with a new driver connecting with Axel via smartphone. Sega's announcement also teased reboots for other classic IPs like Jet Set Radio and Streets of Rage, emphasizing their commitment to revitalizing beloved franchises.
