Riftbound’s upcoming set, Vendetta, introduces new keywords like Empower, Burn, and Flow. Empower allows players to activate extra abilities on cards by spending energy, while Burn requires cards to be put into the trash. Flow enables playing cards from the trash for free. Senior designer Jon Moormann shared insights into these mechanics and highlighted how different Legends benefit from them.
The Zed vs. Shen Showdown deck in Vendetta offers a unique two-player experience. Zed focuses on aggressive gameplay, utilizing new mechanics like Burn and Flow. On the other hand, Shen adopts a defensive strategy, rewarding players for careful positioning and unit management. The deck includes preconstructed decks, Champion Legends, battlefields, and booster packs for an engaging gameplay experience.
