Capcom has finally released a Resident Evil Requiem demo, allowing you to try its Game of the Year contender for free.
Capcom has launched a demo for Resident Evil Requiem, three months after the game's initial release in February. The trial version is now downloadable on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. Players can experience the early stages of the game, but save data from the demo cannot be transferred to the full version.
The demo features Grace Ashcroft's exploration of the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center and a brief section as Leon, providing insight into the characters and introducing one of the game's memorable monsters. This release allows players to test the game's performance on different platforms without any cost.
Capcom has seen significant success with Resident Evil Requiem, selling over 7 million copies and improving its financial forecast for the year. The game has received praise from both fans and critics, earning a 9/10 rating in IGN's review. While a small roguelike add-on was recently released, fans are eagerly anticipating the full story DLC expected later in the year, hoping for more details on Leon's mysterious new item.
