Prime Video Casts Imogen Poots and John Reynolds in Sex Criminals

Prime Video's adaptation of the Image Comics series has taken a major step forward, with Imogen Poots and John Reynolds cast as the leads in the upcoming series.

Imogen Poots and John Reynolds will portray the lead characters Suzie and Jon in the series, who possess the unique ability to freeze time when they orgasm and use this power to rob banks. Sex Criminals, based on the comic by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky, is being developed for television by Kumail Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon, and Tze Chun, with Nanjiani also taking on an acting role. The show has received the green light for an eight-episode first season.

The comic's adaptation has been in progress for over a decade, initially announced in 2015 under Universal Television. Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky, the original creators, continue to be active in the comic book realm, with Fraction currently writing for DC's Batman series and Zdarsky working on Captain America and the upcoming Avengers: Armageddon crossover.
