Possible Gears of War: E-Day Release Date Teased by WWE

Fans think Gears of War: E-Day could be coming as soon as September, because of a WWE teaser.

Recently announced at Backlash in Tampa, Florida, Triplemania is the biggest event of the Lucha Libre AAA calendar. AAA, a subsidiary of WWE, will host the premium live event over two dates in September, the 11th and 13th, with the latter in Ciudad de México. The link to Gears of War emerges as the upcoming prequel, E-Day, is set to sponsor the event, with its logo featured at the end of a trailer on Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's social media accounts.

Games typically don't receive public marketing until close to release or post-launch. Examples like Doom: The Dark Ages and Borderlands 4 show similar marketing strategies before their respective releases. With E-Day's showcase scheduled for June 7 after the Xbox Games Showcase, speculations arise about a potential release a few weeks after mid-September, before the arrival of GTA 6 in November.

Microsoft's 2026 gaming lineup includes Halo: Campaign Evolved in summer, Gears of War: E-Day in the latter half of the year, and Playground's Fable in the fall. Anticipation also surrounds the next Call of Duty installment and unconfirmed releases from Activision Blizzard and Bethesda.
