Pokémon Trading Card Game's 30th Anniversary Set with All Foil Cards

Pokémon has announced an eye-catching all-holo set of trading cards to celebrate the TCG's 30th anniversary, featuring the return of classics such as Base Set Charizard, plus Mew and Mewtwo ex cards, and 30 new illustrations featuring Pikachu.

Pokémon is marking the 30th anniversary of its Trading Card Game with a special all-foil set that includes iconic cards like Base Set Charizard and introduces 30 new Pikachu designs. The Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration expansion is set to launch globally on September 16. This unique set will consist entirely of foil cards, with each booster pack containing five foil cards and one foil basic energy.

The set will feature 30 new Pikachu illustrations spread across multiple cards, alongside Legendary creatures like Dialga, Ho-Oh, and Xerneas. Additionally, fan-favorites such as Sylveon, Greninja, and Slowpoke will make an appearance. The Pokémon Company has teased the return of 30 classic Pokémon cards, each receiving a stunning foil treatment, and the introduction of a new card rarity called Futuristic rare, illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN.

Despite facing challenges from scalping and supply shortages, The Pokémon Company has produced over 85 billion trading cards to date. The immense popularity of Pokémon cards has unfortunately led to numerous thefts, reflecting the ongoing demand for these collectibles.
