Frontier Developments revealed the upcoming release of Planet Zoo 2, set to launch on October 13 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This sequel to the popular zoo simulation game will feature flying and aquatic animals for the first time, housed in aviaries and aquariums. The developers promise a significant advancement in animation and animal behavior, with a strong emphasis on conservation efforts such as restoring natural habitats and relocating animals to wildlife reserves.
Among the new aquatic species making their debut in Planet Zoo 2 are black-tipped reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, and vibrant shoals of fish. On the avian side, players can expect to encounter species like the toco toucan and the secretary bird. Players will need to manage the complex ecosystem of their animal park, ensuring the happiness of guests, staff, and animals, all while maintaining financial stability.
Planet Zoo 2 will be priced at $49.99/£39.99/€49.99, with pre-orders currently available.
