Fans of life-simulator games have been eating well lately, as the dominance of The Sims 4 has been challenged by new kids on the block like InZoi and Paralives.

Paralives, a new contender in the life-simulation genre, does not aim to dethrone The Sims but rather provide players with another option. The team believes that healthy competition between life-sim games benefits players by offering more diverse experiences. According to Gab Boyer-Antoni, Paralives' communication manager, having multiple games in the genre allows for a richer gaming experience, catering to different player preferences.

Despite being in its early stages, Paralives has shown promising growth since its launch, with creators confident in providing years of free content to players. In contrast, The Sims 4 is undergoing changes following a turbulent period, starting with updates to the Maker Marketplace that have caused discontent among the community.
