Palworld 1.0 Players Notice Pal Redesigns Resembling Pokémon Less

Palworld players have spotted that developer Pocketpair has altered several Pal designs for the 1.0 launch, leaving some saying they now look less like the Pokémon they had resembled.

Pocketpair recently released patch notes for Palworld 1.0, detailing numerous additions and improvements. However, the changes to certain Pal designs were not covered in the notes, prompting players to uncover the updates themselves.

Players have observed modifications to Verdash, Robinquill, Fengallop, and Grintale, noting that they now bear less resemblance to Pokémon such as Cinderace, Decidueye, Cobalion, and Galarian Meowth.

Feedback on the redesigned models has been mostly positive, with players appreciating the improved aesthetics. Nevertheless, the similarities to specific Pokémon species have not gone unnoticed.

Comparisons between Palworld's Pals and Pokémon have been ongoing, leading to legal action from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. A patent dispute has been filed, with a judgement expected soon.
