The remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is launching on Switch 2 on August 11, following its previous release on other platforms in Spring 2025. Priced at $60, the Switch 2 edition includes all the content from other versions, with a Deluxe Edition available for purchase, offering additional weapons, armor, and cosmetics. Notably, the Switch 2 release will have the full game data on the cartridge, unlike a Game Key-Card release.
Players can now pre-order The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for Switch 2, with the Deluxe Edition being the only physical version available. The game will come with the base game, The Shivering Isles DLC, Knights of the Nine DLC, new quests, and various in-game items. Pre-orders are open for $60 on Amazon, and digital pre-orders are accessible through the Nintendo eShop.
Oblivion Remastered for Switch 2 brings a modernized version of the classic RPG, featuring updated graphics, a sprinting mechanic, revamped UI, and a more user-friendly menu. The leveling system has been improved for a smoother experience compared to the original version. However, the Switch 2 version shows a performance decrease compared to other platforms, running at 900p and 30fps in handheld mode, or 1080p and 30fps when docked, utilizing DLSS technology.
