Nintendo Direct Scheduled for June 9

A new Nintendo Direct livestream has been announced for June 9, making an already busy month of gaming showcases even busier.

A new Nintendo Direct livestream is set for June 9 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. Nintendo has hinted at big game reveals for the second half of 2026, including Star Fox and third-party titles. The 50-minute Direct will focus on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch games. Following the main event, a Nintendo Treehouse livestream will offer gameplay insights into featured titles. Rumors suggest a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and new challenges for NES, SNES, and Game Boy games on Switch 2. Nintendo's annual June Direct tradition continues, with past showcases ranging from game-specific to broader E3-related presentations. Additionally, June marks the first anniversary of the Switch 2, Nintendo's fastest-selling console with 19.86 million units sold by March 31, 2026. The original Switch remains Nintendo's best-selling console, reaching 155.92 million sales.
