Xbox's Jason Ronald, in charge of the Projext Helix next-generation PC/console hybrid, has stated that additional information about the device will be disclosed later this year. While the exact timing remains unknown, one potential occasion could be the Xbox Games Showcase in June. Ronald clarified this in response to queries about whether the Project Helix developer-focused event on May 7 would feature new details about the device.
Microsoft previously announced that the event, scheduled for April 30, would revisit the GDC announcements, emphasizing the delivery of this content to developers. Ronald aims to set realistic expectations by emphasizing that this is not a consumer-focused news event. The Xbox Game Dev Update, featuring Ronald and Xbox general manager Chris Carla, will air on YouTube at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET, where they will review the Project Helix announcements from GDC and discuss their significance for the future of Xbox.
