New Star Wars Strategy Game Set to Release in August

While Galactic Racer is set to bring back Star Wars to the racing genre later this year, there is another game set in the galaxy far, far away that's even closer to releasing.

Star Wars Zero Company, an X-COM-like strategy game, is scheduled to launch as early as August. Revealed during last year's Star Wars Celebration, the game is a single-player turn-based strategy title developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment. A gameplay trailer is expected to premiere during Summer Game Fest, likely confirming the August release date.

According to a leak by Dealabs writer billbil-kun, Star Wars Zero Company will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 on August 27. The game will have varying price points, with the standard edition priced at $50 for PC and $60 for consoles. The Digital Deluxe edition will cost $60 on PC and $70 on consoles, with no early access planned. Set during the Clone Wars, the game follows an elite squad led by former Republic officer Hawks, offering a gritty story experience. This marks the first Star Wars strategy title in over 20 years, following the launch of Empire at War in 2006.
