The Dungeon Crawler Carl series is expanding with the release of a free flash game titled Mama's Night Off, inspired by Princess Donut and developed in collaboration with Maeve Chocolate. Players control Princess Donut shooting magic missiles at falling cherries, with each shot accompanied by voice acting from Jeff Hays. Although simple in gameplay, the game's voice acting adds an engaging element.
The game was recently launched on the Maeve Chocolate website and promoted through a post on the Dungeon Crawler Carl Reddit community. Mama's Night Off serves as a promotional tool for Maeve Chocolate's new Virgin Dirty Shirley chocolate bar, inspired by Princess Donut's favorite beverage. The chocolate bar combines dark and white chocolate with cherries and popping candy for a unique taste experience.
While Mama's Night Off is the first playable Dungeon Crawler game, more are in the works. The upcoming Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG is scheduled for release in December 2026 after a successful crowdfunding campaign with Renegade Studios. The RPG, which includes a core rule book and miniatures, is already a top-selling tabletop game on Amazon.
